This program showcases BODYTRAFFIC’s versatility with four works that celebrate bold style, storytelling, and movement. Flyland by David Middendorp is a heart-tugging duet blending animation, projection, and choreography to stunning effect. Cayetano Soto’s Schachmatt (Checkmate!) turns a giant chess board into a playground, drawing inspiration from Pedro Almodóvar and Bob Fosse. Jordyn Santiago’s Coalescence, vibrant, affirming love letter to femininity, queerness, and community. Plus, Secret Goodbye, a newly announced world premiere by BODYTRAFFIC Creative Partner Trey McIntyre for four dancers set to the music of Sam Cooke.
